The Converting Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) was founded in 1984 and is the only organization that exists specifically to serve and address the unique needs and concerns of converting equipment manufacturers.


We are proud to be a member of the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA). Founded in 1958, the FTA is the foremost technical society dedicated exclusively to the flexographic printing industry. The FTA has grown over the years and now comprises all personnel at more than 1,800 corporate sites, including printers, product companies, designers, consultants, and educational institutions.


Founded in 1937, the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) is the trade association representing the fourth-largest manufacturing industry in the United States. SPI’s 1,500 members represent the entire plastics industry supply chain, including processors, machinery and equipment manufacturers, and raw material suppliers. The U.S. plastics industry employs 1.5 million workers and provides $304 billion in annual shipments.


Founded in 1915, the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) has grown into the world’s largest professional association serving the pulp, paper, and converting industries. TAPPI’s 23,000 individual members look to the association for information, education, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
